		all because the lady loved

   Preamble

Erm, whatever. This, like STplay and its successor DLMplay, was written to
succeed a Dave Thomas program which I wanted to add features to but didn't
want to break his copyright on. The program in question was called Stereo
and was almost perfect except it lacked two features which I wanted: stereo
centring and detection of the current stereo settings on startup. The odd
free moment here and there and by the end I had this program sitting on my
newly acquired harddrive!

   Use

It's easy. Just run it and click on its icon. The controls are like those on
an editing deck and are natural enough. If you do have any problems then use
Interactive Help (if only because it's there!) [Ad mode on.] I personally
recommend my RealHelp application (but I would though, wouldn't I) because
it provides bubble help and doesn't fall over when RO3.7 help codes are
thrown at it. As well as that, any programs which use its facilities
properly tend to give tidier and easier-to-follow help. Well I think it
does. [Ad mode off.]

   Future

There's nothing that I can think of besides auto-detection of the number of
sound channels in use. Any ideas?

   DLMlib

DLMlib is a set of shared resources by Keith Gaughan. It supports Panes,
MessageTrans, the desktop save protocol and interactive help. It is
currently only for use by by members of the DLM Design programming group but
may be made available to the public at some point in the future.

Both DLMlib and this application have only been tested on the authors RISC
OS 3.10 A3010 (1Mb, No HDD!) due to a drought of Acorn-owning friends and
for this reason, it is not guaranteed to work on every version of RISC OS,
though Id be very surprised if it didnt.

   Address

If you want to contact me for any reason, then send a letter to this
address:

	REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

You know the usual, send anything: suggestions for new programs or additions
to my existing ones, your own software, C64-related stuff, Tracker/DSym
files, interesting JPEG of Eva Hertzigova, donations to my Get-a-RISC-PC-
and-C-compiler-or-at-least-Upgrade-my-A3010-to-a-Usable-State-for-Uni
(Anybody whos read this part of the helpfile before will know that Im
getting desperate) fund, anything really!

BTW, does anybody out there want to join a new programming group? Well, Ive
decided that being the sole member of DLM Design is a daft - after all, a
programming group is supposed to be just that, a group of people and not a
lone codehead. If anybody does want to join (and possibly avail of the use
of DLMlib, a very slick programming library) then just contact me at the
address above.
